Farhat Ishtiaq - Writer Of The Youth!
Farhat Ishtiaq (June 23, 1980), is a Pakistani female writer, author and screenwriter. She did Civil engineering from the NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi.
Writing Career:
Farhat began her writing career in 2000. In early stages, she wrote stories for Urdu language digests which were later published as books.
She mostly writes for Khawateen Digest and Shuaa Digest. "Khushbu, Badal Chand Hawa" was her first story which she wrote for Khawateen Digest in September 2000. Later in October 2000 she wrote "Chalo Toro Qasam Iqrar Kerein for Khawateen Digest and from there the non stop writing spree was on!
She has written 8 books, ranging from complete novels to compilations of short stories. Almost all of them were published by "Ilm-o-irfan publishers"
Farhat Ishtiaq Mostly like to write Romantic novels with social and cultural values of Pakistani society. Her novels carries varieties of emotions from Love, laughter, anger, revenge, hatred, responsibility and many more!
Wo Jo Qarz Rekhtey They Jan Per is one of her best seller! It is a very beautiful story of a girl "Faria" whose mom marries someone of her choice Spanish, Non-Muslim and was told not to come back home by her father. The story takes turn when Faria's parents died in an accident and she was sent to her grand parents, she developed love for her grand pa and eventually came to know about her Mom's love marriage.. Saad her only friend loved him and so does she, but she married her cousin because of her Grand Pa's choice and she wanted to calm her Mom's restless soul.
Farhat as a Screen Play Writer:
Farhat has now come up screenwriting for the Pakistan television channels. Her most noted novel for television channel is Humsafar. Her novels explore societal problems particularly the role of women in the society. Her novels mostly contain South Asian cultural issue.
Mata e Jaan Hai Tu is also one of her drama serial which revolves around a love story of a young couple, a Pakistani boy and a US-born girl studying Engineering and Architecture in Columbia Univerity in the USA. Pakistani background Boy name ‘Ibad uzair’ who is NED Karachi Degree Engineer and Love Pakistan. ‘Haniya’ is USA born girl 3rd generation USA family background, Girl decides to leave America for Pakistan and get settled in Pakistan. ’Yamina’ is sister of Haniya and wife of Adam.
